This photo shoot ties together three main concepts: sexual identity, restraint, and the idea of performance as identity.

The handmade costumes made using hot pink bondage rope represent an active reclamation of iconography that was once used to oppress while also bringing into the conversation our own, self-imposed restraints. Inspired by Suspiria (2018), this shoot reframes some of the larger ideas of feminine power in the film into an LGBTQ+ context.
