SHU UEMURA
As a high-end Japanese cosmetics brand in a saturated industry, we chose to push Shu Uemura's already-avant garde identity while visually translating the idea of beauty as art.
To really make this concept something only Shu Uemura could do, we specifically tapped into their heritage with references to ancient Japanese art such as Kintsugi and Bonseki both in the print campaign and in the activations.

BEAUTIFYING ART INSTALLATIONS
We'll put the ancient beauty of Japanese art on full display while showing how these ancient arts can transform both skin and city. Installations will be subtly branded like an artist's signature with the red-seal logo.
ARTIST COLLABORATION TUTORIAL SERIES
To bring our concept of beauty and makeup as art full-circle, we'll have famous makeup artists and Japanese artists collaborate to create a makeup tutorial series. This could blow out into additional social content, live streams, and behind-the-scenes Instagram stories.
